GSA SmartPay® Charge Cards and B2B Purchase Cards - certain charge cards require merchants to obtain an advance level of transaction information. Such "Level 3" payment transactions require line item detail fields like product code, item description, item quantity, unit of measure and extended item amount. The good news for merchants are the interchange rate incentives for such transactions. With an interchange pass-through plan, the merchant is assured of receiving the full benefits of these incentives. A virtual terminal with the capability of entering Level 3 transaction data may also be required.
